The inspiration behind Mara Hoffman’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection was the word ‘Aloha’, which represents the Hawaiian Islands.
The vibrant colours and original island prints were certainly enough to get me daydreaming of tropical climates and exotic cocktails. If there was one collection to get you excited about next summer, then this was certainly it!
The clothes on display were flimsy and flirtatious. Mara Hoffman certainly has the knack for creating clothing which is not vividly sexy but yet has a subtle seductiveness to it which is undeniable.
Overall, the collection had a serene and relaxed feel to it with an added bit of sensuality. The use of silk materials and loose maxis created a cool and collected template whilst the vivid prints and patterns turned up the heat.
